I inherited my late mother's leather & suede jacket and wool coat that have both been sitting in a storage unit for over 27 years. I spilled a drink on the left foot at the bar, and tried to self repair and damaged further (LEAVE IT TO THE PROFESSIONALS PLEASE). I am beyond impressed with Love Your Center! They did an absolutely amazing job cleaning my Prada suede bag and made it look brand new again. I had an accident where I spilled sweet and sour sauce on it, and it hardened on the bag for months. I truly thought the damage was permanent, but they were able to fully restore it. Love your Leather picked it up from my address, put a new liner in it and even conditioned the leather though I didn't ask for it, and delivered it in a couple of weeks. The coat is like new. I had a great experience here. My Mackage jacket got a tear on the sleeve. From the very first phone call I was offered all the information I needed to get my jacket fixed. Shortly after the phone call I was messaged by a representative to follow up. I was easily able to arrange a drop off with them, and they quoted a firm price of $150 including material labor rush fee and tax on drop off of the jacket. They quoted a week turn around and was able to pick up on the exact day I was originally told. The staff was great, the girl at up at the front desk was very patient and informative. She made me feel at ease dropping off a very valuable item to me. You can see some of the tailors as they are working and you can tell they really take pride in their work. Binh did the alterations on both my sleeves so the tear could be hidden while both sides remain even. I can\u2019t even tell there is new seams on the sleeve. It looks brand new. I\u2019m 100% satisfied with the results and so happy they could save my jacket. First time bringing my leather here and I am very pleased with the result. The first time I stained my Maje suede purse I bought another one. They are no longer available and it's my favourite purse. I also brought in a leather jacket that lightened significantly from exposure to sun in my closet. The jacket was fixed very well, very pleased, the colour is almost identical and only I can tell - it is not a consistent colour throughout the jacket originally, so it looks perfect. The purse stain was gone. There were minimal markings leftover from just whatever was used to remove it, and this is inevitable. It looks amazing. No complaints. It was not cheap, and I am not complaining because it's legit hard work. I like that when you call someone always answers quickly. While the web site said 2 weeks for the purse, in store they told me it would be 3 weeks, but it took a month. I am happy as long as the result is good. The initial sales rep I found also very nice and fair. I would recommend the company, and I do not feel some of the reviews are justified. If you are complaining about price, you have the option to go elsewhere.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

I honestly do not know why there would be such negative reviews on here. My first experience was fantastic. We just received our restoration delivery and we sent two pairs of shoes for restoration and one area rug for cleaning in return.\n\nWe went to the Etobicoke location 20 mins til closing on a Saturday. The associate at the desk was so patient with the client before us. They had great conversation and that client seemed to leave happy. When the associate called Tony out for an estimate, she made sure to acknowledge that we were there and that it wouldn\u2019t be too long.\n\nWhen it was our turn, they both took such great care and time with us. I brought in three vintage Gucci and Bally purses from the 80s that were of great sentimental value. We were given a range of options for restoration and in the end chose to have just one restored at $650.\n\nThis is fair price for the work completed. Having worked in the luxury handbag space for a number of years, I\u2019m confident in the work that was done. The bag was thoroughly cleaned, edges cemented and colour matched and the lining replaced. We could have opted for a less costly option but it wouldn\u2019t have achieved what we wanted.\n\nThe service was unparalleled. I wish I remembered the names of the women that helped us. They were super patient and gave us the same attention at closing than they did to the client before us. Tony was super gracious with his time and shared so many tidbits about the business. He has so much knowledge and experience and he shares that with the team. We chatted WELL past closing and left with confidence that we would be happy with the results.\n\nThe turnaround time was promised to be 4-6 weeks but it was delivered earlier than 4 weeks.\n\nAs you can see from the images attached - well worth the money. I initially used the online estimate tool and uploaded a picture of my handbag that I thought was a water stain, the response back was that it did not appear to be a water stain and that there seemed to be some damage to the leather grain, it was recommended I bring the bag in for inspection. I did as such but was a bit reluctant to after\nreading some of the negative reviews, however I recognized that there were far more positive reviews than negative ones, so decided to take time off work to drive across town for a look. I am SO glad that I did. I was met with amazing service and hospitality. The bag was taken to the back for Tony the owner to look at, a few minutes later the service rep came out and told me that Tony and done a little quick work on it and that he would come out to explain what was done. I was caught off guard and super surprised to see that the stain was a bit lighter . Tony took the time to explain to me that the stain looked to be a protein stain or oil stain of sorts and that he applied some thing on her to help remove some of the stain. Although not 100,% gone it was much better ...it being so minor and the bag being so new he recommended I just keep it as it is. He didn't charge me for his time. I appreciated his honesty, firm and fair approach. I even did a quick walk through to see a full warehouse of goods being serviced, and a Louis Vuitton bag being restored. Updated Review: Their customer service team was quick to reach out and provide a full explanation of why they felt they couldn't help. Since my original 1 star review was for customer service, I will adjust this! The person who called and the response in the Google review was very thorough and the person on the phone was extremely sweet and understanding!\n\nAll this being said, I'm still not 100% convinced they couldn't have actually helped considering what basic soap and water did (I'll attach a photo, on the left is the original photo I sent them and on the right is after two applications of damp cloth + dish soap). I took my leather motorcycle (thick leather) jacket that I've taken good care of for about eight years now, to get the failing zipper replaced. They did a professional job where you can't tell that the zipper was replaced, in a good way. They replaced it with the same quality YKK brand zippers, the stitching is straight and the work overall looks like it was done by staff who put care into their workmanship. On top of that, the price was fair.\n\nThey saved me from having to throw away an otherwise perfectly functional jacket. I would definitely recommend them to others!<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tony's craft is admirable and watching him truly put his best effort and heart into repairing our leather purse was incredible. He handled our branded item with immense care and applied his genius to recreate the exact color which was a mix of gold, silver and bronze. I'd highly recommend coming to Love your leather prior to trying at-home cleaning tactics to remove marks which tend to ruin the purse even more. We had a pen mark and tried acetone and dish soap both of which decolored the purse rather than removing the stain. Price is fair considering you want to be extra careful where you drop off your leather pieces at. They did the cleaning, waterproofing, and touched any blemishes. All I can say this place does amazing work I had a rip in my bomber jacket and they replaced two panels. Headed to Love Your Leather to have a vintage leather skirt updated and a zipper on my purse fixed. Everyone was LOVELY. The seamstress really made me feel that she knew what she was doing. And, even though it was an insanely busy Saturday, the lady in charge took the time to look at my purse, explain how hard it was to replace the zippers and then told me there was a trick that would help and then taught me how to squeeze the zipper so it would work properly and she waxed the teeth. And then she didn\u2019t charge me for that work! My skirt was done within ten days and it was PERFECT. The work was outstanding and it fits like a glove. Complete new lease on life. I am so happy. The price isn\u2019t cheap but completely fair for the work done. I also got to see some of the other jobs they were working on and it is clear they can do magic. One purse I saw (clearly beloved) was half done. Half looked like it had been dragged behind a pick up truck and the other half looked brand new. The only bad thing I can say is that parking is terrible so don\u2019t go on a Saturday. But that is a small price to pay for such great work.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Update:\nMy jacket arrived in the morning before I went to work after only a couple of weeks and it's better than it was when I bought it! The sleeve tear has been repaired and feels durable and the leather feels like it's ready for another decade of being beaten down! \ud83d\ude00\nPocket seams have been flawlessly reattached and the belt loop stitching is now clean and professional, miraculously with no visible holes from a prior botched amateur repair. The conditioning and redyeing is expertly done - the scratches are now nearly imperceptible, and all the worn and faded parts look good as new. To top it all off, they even threw in some gorgeous metal buttons.\nI am extremely satisfied with the value and quality of the workmanship and will be definitely be returning to them for future work in the new year when I decide to get my trophy coat relined in red.\n\nThank you Love Your Leather for saving my jacket! I brought in a relatively expensive briefbag for handle repair (the handle had split and broken) and they made me a completely new handle that matched perfectly. The repair required an impressive amount of unstitching and restitching on a complicated bag (I'm a sewer myself, and while I handle many of my own repairs there was NO WAY I could attack this one). Also, they perfectly colour matched the trim on the bag. I was so delighted for a few weeks, and then very sad when part of the handle partially pulled out (under lighter use than the bag had seen in the previous 5+ years). When I re-contacted them, they reattached it again at no charge with many sincere apologies (to my surprise, they exactly remembered the bag, perhaps showing how much of a job it was to redo the first time around!), and the has continued to serve me well for several solid months since then. I think that it is through experiences like these, where things don't go perfectly, that you really learn the level of service that a company can provide, and I was impressed and will continue to return.\n\nI have also brought in several pairs of boots and shoes (not designer brands, but decent retail) for re-heeling, and they do very nice work at a fair price.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

They are, above all, warm and kind human beings.\nJust a day before my daughter\u2019s wedding, my wife realized that her long-awaited MOB dress, which we picked just night before, had several stains from either alteration or subsequent steaming and handling in the store we purchased from (Toronto Classic Wedding Dresses Outlet). My wife in tears, and time running out, we were in desperate situation. We called and called again the store we purchased the dress from, but in vain, nobody was there to respond. I called Gibson\u2019s Cleaners and a gleam of hope arose as they told me they could provide same-day service if I bring the dress before 10am. I rushed to their Etobicoke location only to learn that even the best of their cleaners was reluctant to attempt cleaning as he was afraid that the result could worsen the situation. My desperation went through the roof\u2026 Luckily the front desk clerk called store manager Shawn Nippard, who once again reviewed the dress and discussed the matter with his expert cleaner. The cleaner maintained his position that the job is too risky and with unknown outcome. Shawn, who realized the gravity of my situation, and need for specialty cleaning services Gibson\u2019s could not provide, called Kathy of \u201cloveyour Cleaning Facility, a division of Trillium TLC Canada and they accepted the challenge. I went to their Etobicoke location and was greeted by Kathy who calmed me down and assured me I was in good hands. Few minutes later the President Tony Kantzavelos himself showed up with a big smile and asked me to come inside the facility to witness the action. And surely, one by one the stains have been removed before my eyes. Even now, few weeks later, I cannot explain the overwhelming sense of relief I felt at that moment. I offered to pay, and was willing to pay whatever they asked, but they did not want money. \u201cIt was quick and simple procedure, no charge required\u201d said Tony with his big smile and obviously enjoying the triumph himself. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I was and still am to these people. The capacity to understand the pain of a customer, and yet remain prudent and not take advantage of situation, is a desirable behaviour in every service to public. It should be a norm, not an exception. Long story short, the white leather couch was stained with sharpie and its dye was scrubbed out with steel wool. These Guys did what I thought was impossible! I had a grey leather jacket that I paid 300+ for and then stained it all over. Then I was advised by a friend to clean it with baking soda and water - big mistake. It turned the leather dark and hardened it. I thought this jacket is a lost cause but kept it because I felt bad throwing it out.\n\nI was getting a few other items dry cleaned and since this place is close, I decided to give it a shot. I brought the ruined grey jacket just in case, not expecting anything really. Tony explained to me the whole process and while skeptical, I figured I had nothing to lose.\n\nI'm happy to say I was very pleasantly surprised when I went in to pick up my jacket and it looked like new! They had cleaned it and restored the color, I wasn't even able to tell where the stains used to be. Excellent quality, but make sure you give them time to work.\n\nI am a second year engineering student at Queen\u2019s and when my GPA (Engineering jacket) started bleeding dye I sent it it for repair. Love your centre offers free pickup and delivery and they provide tracking for your order. Customer service was easy to talk to and they were happy to answer all my questions. My only word of warning is that some repairs can take 2-3 weeks to complete. I needed my jacket completed before I returned to school and I figured 2 weeks would be sufficient. Unfortunately my estimate was wrong and special arrangements had to be made to return my jacket in time. Despite the timing setback the staff were very helpful and did their best to accommodate my needs. I would highly recommend this service despite the duration of repairs. I was impressed by the efficient and professional manner in which Tony addressed my concerns about my Mackage jacket. When I received it after dry cleaning I wasn't completely happy ... he explained the cleaning process and the importance of not cleaning too aggressively so that the coat wouldn't be damaged. We agreed that his team would pick up the coat and that he would take a look at it again personally. They were able to clean it to my satisfaction and deliver to my door. I'm so sad reading these reviews! As mentioned by others, everyone I spoke to or corresponded with was friendly and professional. I have an old purse my sister gave me recently - nothing special, no fancy branding, and perhaps that was the problem, but it's an unusual purse and I like it. I sent it to be cleaned, conditioned, and color restored. Granted, it's old and hadn't been well treated. And when it was returned to me it was in fact clean. But the lining had ripped during the process, with no attempt at repair - my initial pictures show it was stained but not ripped before I sent it. And, worse, a section of the bag, which is made of very soft leather, was returned stiff and hard - and again, no one mentioned that the bag had been damaged in the process, or offered advice on how I might fix it.\n\nI know my old bag may have seemed totally worthless - it's no designer purse or leather jacket - but it has sentimental value to me, and after all the good reviews I've read, and my expectations of how it would be returned to me, I'm really disappointed, and very sad.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Sadly I am left disappointed by a bag repair I paid close to 600 dollars on. The price is not a concern as long as the job was done well and professionally. I picked up my bag only to notice black paint marks on the body of the bag from the edge repair I requested they do. Pros: 2 stars for delivery service and my coat smells fresh!\n\nCons: got my coat back a few hours ago after 16 days. Opened the plastic bag, not so surprise (probably because my coat wasn't in a bad shape before). I got my knitted cuffs replaced, and there's a tear (already?!) as shown in the photo. The quality of the cuffs definitely can not be comparable with the original ones'. They're a lot thinner and will be stretched easily. I highly recommend doing thorough research before choosing a repair store for your backpack. My recent experience was frustrating and disappointing.\n\nFirst, I had to sign an inquiry form and explicitly stated in the form and in an email with pictures that I needed the back mesh (spinal support pad) and the waist buckle clip fixed. The invoice is vague and misleading. My experience by this part had been fine the customer service was very helpful and i thought was honest. I say honest because i was told during repairs that my purse is very delicate and some scuffs on the leather in corners cant be fully repaired because they don't want to damage the lamb skin. Very understandable and i appreciated the heads up. Now when i received my belongings I had great expectations based off the multiple pleasant conversations I had prior and during the repairs. I was so confident that when they dropped off my stuff i gave my rug to be cleaned as well..\nI went upstairs checked my bag and there were sooo many problems. My purse strap was replaced with a much shorter strap and now my purse sits oddly on my stomach. The strap was sewn terribly and missing links on the chain, theres obvious stitching and none of the gold hardware was repaired and is still fainted gold turning silver. The inside of the purse was not touched and nor was the back. Only the front and the strap was "cleaned and repaired" (I will add photos.) My Valentino sandle repair broke right off when I slipped my foot in. I sent photos and reached out right away.\nAs soon as i voiced my concerns is when the the customer service took a 180. I had conversation with a few different customer service reps but i mainly spoke with Kathy..\nFrom someone who prides themselves in customer service she IS AWFUL. I was originally told the technician who worked on my shoe was very experienced and they assured me my sandle wont break and for only looking at the shoe it did seem fine. That wasn't the case obviously as it broke from just trying on.\nFor my purse, Kathy said she was aware the technician who worked on my purse was new and apologized for it. When i called her out on having a new technician working on a 10k purse she switched her story and said multiple people worked on it, as if that makes a difference. I still received my belongings back damaged. When i asked about the hardware not being painted she told me thats a different service and explained the correct process isnt painting. She never answered to why it wasn't repaired though. I don't really care what the process is to get it fixed thats the technicians job my concern is that the job is done and done properly.\nThey were aware I would be away on business trip which at that point had to leave for so I said I will call next week.\nBringing us to today. I speak with Kathy and I let her know that I do not trust their company to further touch my very valuable and sentimental belongings and at this point i'm only comfortable with a refund for the 2 items. She refused and i reminded her the price of my belongings and she tried to tell me i'm wrong and they aren't worth as much because it isn't new..I guess she doesn't know the purse goes up in value and is actually worth more than when i originally bought it...\nKathy is very unprofessional and makes unnecessary comments which aren't proactive to making resolutions. She didnt even offer a partial refund for the purse since they didn't complete the job, she only agreed to the shoe repair and she definitely didn't take into account that i now will have to probably pay more for a new company to undo their mistakes and redo the repair...\nOne last note: I gave them my credit card details over the phone and no one asked or even mentioned they would save it and charge my card without notification\/permission.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ruined my $8900 Chanel purse. They had a simple job of painting a part of white over a tiny spot where colour of the purse rubbed off. They ruined the stitches and had gotten a brownish paint on the inside of the purse that ruined the white purse. I gave them 3 opportunities to try to correct it each time and they just ruined it more. The Owner Tony was RUDE and yelled at me all of the sudden because I was blaming him and obviously couldn't handle the fact he ruined an expensive purse and treated it like garbage. He's a scammer and shouldn't talk to customers or handle them at all. Absolutely stay CLEAR of this place if you have something expensive to fix.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

For every 10 referrals one goes wrong. I went to this place because i had a sentimental hat that i wanted cleaned. Not only did they ruin the hat and took my money, they denied they did anything wrong and when confronted they asked me to speak to the technician. The women (young useless blond) at the front is rude and i just find it incredible with the high reviews at this business. They also did absolutely nothing with my boots and i could have done the exact same thing at home. Oh well $120 down the drain could be worse. It took them about 6 weeks to complete but they never even called me back i had to call them a few times to check on when it would be done. (I think they knew they ruined my hat and didn't want to call me). I wish we could give negative starts. Please be extremely careful giving these jokers your valuable merchandise they are a scam. The worse service ever. I brought a pair of boots 2 months ago and they promised me to get my boots fixed in 1-2 weeks. 2 weeks later I called them and they told me the boots were not ready. I week later I called back and they told me I could pick up the boots, when I went to pick up the boots, they were with the same with the same white spots I brought them for so I didn't received them because I'have paid CAD$63.00 to get them fixed otherwise I would just purchased a new ones. 1 Week later they told me they would call me when the boots were ready. 2 weeks ago I called them again because no one has communicate with me and they told me they will call me on the next day at 8am. Today, July 2nd I'm on the phone trying to get any answer because I need my boots and my money back but after almost 1 hour waiting on the phone, no one is giving me an answer or solution. I was extremely disappointed with the results of my alterations. After spending over $500, at least 6 trips and waiting over 1.5 months, the results were not even close to what I expected. I would not recommend them for men's suit alterations. I paid a premium price for sub-standard work. The work on the jacket however was not satisfactory and the jacket stayed with your team until Dec 28, when I picked it up. There were multiple trips in between where the jacket was supposed to be ready but was not satisfactory. One time because the cuffs were not shortened enough, another because the cuff buttons were uneven and another time because there were divots in the cuffs. The delay with the buttons was on the Navy suit and I brought the buttons in the next day.\n\nI was truly hoping that your team would have been able to get the suits right as I had 4 more suits that I wanted to have tailored with you as well as many dress shirts. DON'T GO GO THIS PLACE. I had to take my Timberlands there to remove a stain and be rewaterproofed. They cleaned the stain but didn't waterproof them. I've had to bring them back twice to get them waterproofed. It cost $84. They the first time they attempted to waterproof, it changed the shade on one of them for some reason. When I went back, they said they can't actually waterproof this type of leather even though they said they would originally. Terrible work for a rip-off price of $84.
